Still very buggy. I still cannot select the 250 miles radius without the app crashing. Though this was resolved in previous version.

I like this app. I programmed it with family addresses in other citys and other states. As well as the address of my house and my job. Anytime there is an earthquake at any of those locations this app notifies me. And since I live in Oklahoma, the app is always going off because there is an earthquake just about once a day. Very good app, it does what it says and I like it.
The maps used with this app need to be much better in order to track the storm in more detail. The current maps used do not show the towns or islands mentioned in the alerts given for the Philippines.
Thia app is very well put together, interesting, and full of practicle and useful information. Thanks Red Cross :)
Will not bring up list or forward alerts to me. Tells me to check my internet connection when its just fine. It was reliable but now I have to turn to another app.
Why did they make such drastic changes to this app? This wasnt just an update it was a complete make over, it might as well be given a new name. This WAS one of the easiest to use, yet most informative apps ever, not any longer. I live in an earthquake prone area and am currently searching for a new app to help me keep my family informed, and prepared.
Not as flexible and far reaching as it was. Lost its value to me. Not as historical or international.
Its called earthquake but doesnt tell you where theyve been anymore. Just an "alls well" message. Literally all the functionality is gone now.
Just had a 4.8, my whole house was shaking. The app didnt even show it! My radius is set at 100 (it was less then 50 miles away) and my magnitude at 2.5!
45 minutes after a 4.5 earthquake still no information!
The most recent update ruined what had been an extremely useful app that I recommended to many friends and neighbors (we live in California near several faults). The interface is cluttered and useless for tracking more than one location. It also eliminated the "global" page which I used to be aware of activity in other locations.
You should change "Alerts" to "Records"
This used to be a great app until the recent drastic update. Some of my favorite features are now gone. But what really makes me unhappy is that the alerts no longer work at all.
I wish to learn this new app now.
Radius limitation to 50 miles on iPhone makes this app nearly useless here in Oklahoma. Please increase radius draw to at least 150 miles.
This app works very well. A month or so ago I had a problem where the sensitivity slider was resetting itself. When I wrote to customer service they were very responsive, and the problem was corrected quickly with a subsequent update. I have an elderly mother who lives in another part of California, and I can configure the app to alert me to earthquakes near her. I also have the RC flood app, and it works well too.
got update and its all in KM now instead of miles. Were in the United States so miles makes more sense .
New version is too cluttered. Multiple instances of icons take up too much screen real estate. Data is harder to see because its spread out too much. App doesnt report many of the significant quakes on my area until hours later, if at all.
The map that showed where the recent earthquakes are is gone! Duh! App is useless now. It is difficult to impossible to contact Support (get error message after typing the request) or send Feedback (you write with your finger on a blank screen). Red Cross should be embarrassed to be associated with this app.
I loved this app until they changed it. Since I live in "earthquake country", it came in quite handy. I had recommended it to several people as it functioned beautifully. Frustratingly, I just now decided to delete it altogether. Heres what it used to do: - An audible alert would sound seconds after a tremor and give the magnitude and location of the epicenter. - You could set your desired magnitude at which it would alert you. (For instance, I set it at 2.5 since we were getting so many earthquakes. - You could also set your desired radius. For example, our daughter goes to University 45 miles away. So I would set it to include her location. Currently, heres what it wont do: - All of the above. Until they fix it: Bye Bye Red Cross Earthquake app!
